I got this late '60s Sunn Solarus head back in December, and it had been at the tech's shop from then till a few days ago. Got it recapped, and a bunch of cold joints redone. I know 70's sunns (such as the cabs) had the rectangle weave grillcloth, and the 60s ones had the diagonal weave (like this head). It has no mid boost switch, and is 40W with 2 EL-34s, whereas most solarus heads I've seen are 60W with 6550s I believe and have the mid boost switch.

Anyone know anything about this one? Transition model maybe?

I think I remember the guy I got it from tell me it was, but It could have been 6550s. It had EL34s when I picked it up though. I've mainly never seen another solarus without the mid boost switch though.
