Have used the Celestion G12H Anniversary for a few years now.
Decided to use one of my dormant Jensen Ch 12-70 in it instead!
Have treated the papercone with soft paperglue along time ago....
Used them for various stuff a couple of years back at my old work.
Took them home the other day, when I was out visiting my old workmates
Also brought home my old EL-84 amp, Vox AC-30 preamp with a dual EL-84 output stage
Bought some EHX 6V6GT tubes for my SuperSonic 22, adjusted the bias and changed the phase Inverter as well.
And thought why not try the Jensen?
Well installed it...and liked the sound.
More open and less drilling into your skull mids...good nice eleastic lowend!
Also changed the jackplug on the speakercable, a flat angled Switchcraft replaced it.
The amp managed to fry a resistor in the switching circuit, the remote switch cable had gnawed through the crimpflex to the ground T piece of the DIN plug.
So I had to change that one a while back......(grumble mumble Fender POS)
Took the liberty of shortend the cable for the footswitch( which reduced the pop when switching channels significantly, (more Fender top of the shelf engineering)
Changed the reverb cable along time ago, as it was making the amp squeal like a hysterical pig when turned up.
