does anybody have any experience with any of these sustainer systems? The Sustainiac driver can be linked with a single coil sized humbucker for the neck position, creating a full sized humbucker. But the Fernandes sustainer seems like its more trustworthy, and its driver can be used as a neck pickup anyways. And I think both systems cost about $200-300 each, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had a fernandes revolver with sustainer for a couple of months last year. It was really fun. Overall, I'd choose a system that allowed a single-sized pickup to be mounted next to it, as the neck pickup tone of the sustainer left a bit to be desired.

There ya go......you can still keep a single coil/single sized hummer in the neck position, albeit inside a mounting ring or modified pickguard.......
