Swap 3-way for 5-way in a Tele

Tele switch is pictured, it has the Eric Clapton mid boost so I don’t know if it’s wired the same as a traditional telecaster. I am wanting to swap in a 5 way switch so I can do Nashville Tele stuff. I’ve looked at diagrams, but they’re all a little different than when I have here, so I’m wondering if anyone can advise on how I would do this. In the picture, from right to left the lugs on the switch are:
Wire to tone control (and connection to the other side of the switch)
Bridge pickup (and connection to the same side of the switch)
Connection to the same side of the switch
Neck pickup (and connection to the other side of the switch)

Really what vexes me is that the connection from the switch to the pots is through the TONE pot... most diagrams I'm seeing have it going through the VOLUME pot. Does it matter? Like can I just wire the 5-way switch like the Fralin diagram below but instead of connecting the switch to the volume pot, connect it to the tone pot like it is in my guitar currently?

Word. I guess I assumed it would have two tone pots.
