swapping LP bridge volume for neck volume?

when i put the duncans in my LP it had been so long since i played it, i had forgotten where controls were supposed to be. i ended up with the neck pickup controls on top, which seems to work out pretty well.

anyone else tried this? i have to go in there to fix something anyways, so i was considering switching it back.

which is the better way? stock, or upside down?

If you hook up your pots in a different configuration, you'll probably get confused as you go from guitar to guitar. To me it's pointless. Stay with stock.

I dont use volume swells and find neck controls on top more logical. All four of my HH guitars have the pots in the 'wrong' position.

Do you ever play other people's guitars? If not, and all your others are consistent, that makes sense. Does this have something to do with you being in the southen hemisphere?

Eh, I don't really see it as that different than picking up another guitar that has a unique switching system. Kind of like when I pick up a guitar with Page wiring and think to myself "how anyone deals with such an operationally convoluted switching system is beyond me."

I have the Page system in a few guitars and love it. I find it logical & easy to use. What helps immensely is that all the volume & tone pots are in their original locations. If that was mixed up, it'd be a mess.
