swapping vox coaxe for p90s

Hi all. Has anyone swapped a vox coaxe pickup for a p90? I'm getting a jones for a solid body with p90s, and doing this to a used $300 vox ssc 33 or sdc 33 seems a lot cheaper than a 60s tribute LP (new $900 used about $650). thanks in advance.

oops forgot to mention, in my vox hdc 77 (semihollow). the coaxe pickup measures about 3 5/16 x 1 5/16. don't know the depth. I'm assuming the solid body pickups aare the same dimensions, and I'm looking at soap bar p90s.
