Sweep picking on a Les Paul

I have had a Les Paul or two in the past in which I put a Custom Custom in the bridge, and a Screamin' Demon in the neck. If I recall correctly, I did like the way the Screamin' Demon sounded like in the neck. Just wondering if sweep picking (not necessarily a lot of it) but a little of it, would work.

I don't want a neck pickup that sounds too bassy or wooly. It would need some clarity.

To use the neck, without too much wool/woof;

Demon, Jazz, Full Shred. Those are progressively tighter/more articulate.

That said - depends on the eq of the particular LP, and how well you can sweep.

59 and Seth Lover are also very nice for it IMO

Burstbuckers too
