Switch for a Flanger

What kind of switch do I need to replace the one in my MXR Flanger? I have heard that I could put in a different one that is already in it that would make it true bypass and that I could add an LED to it without changing the tone. Thanks.

The bypass switch sure sounds handy but are you sure you want to fool around with a vintage pedal.....

If this is an original MXR Flanger, you can wire it for true bypass using a DPDT stomp switch. If you want true bypass and an LED, you need a 3PDT switch. Converting to true bypass will not harm the resale value at all, it's a very simple mod.

It's not that I want to fool with it, but the switch is bad on the original one, and I figured if I can add an led at the same time , to go for it.

One of them should have the switch you're looking for. I don't think Carling makes 3PDT switches, they only make DPDT switches.

Thanks, I found the switches, but now the problem is I have to order 10 or more :smack:

That would cost me half of what I paod for the Flanger
