Switched the DD and JB.

Well, magnets at least. Should be the same pickup.

Before switching, I noticed the Schecter had a bit of a hollow sound in the upper mids the more I played it compared to the Jackson. All fixed. The Schecter now has a great upper-mid crunch while still remaining a ballsy and tight low end, and same for the Jackson. The Jackson sounds a little brighter and has a bit more aggression, as well as a tad more high end.

Anyone contemplating this...I suggest you do it! Now I know why a JB/Jazz is such a great combo...

Dude, you really need to try a fat ceramic in that JB...

I did . That's what's in there now, thus making it a DD. I put the ceramic in it, and liked what it did, but wanted more, so I put the fat one in! Sounds beautiful.

Do they sound any different (the stock DD and the JB with the DD magnet)?

Well as far as I can tell, no, but they are in different guitars. They have the same coils, so I can't see why not.

However, my DD (now JB) reads lower than usual at 15.5K, while the JB (now DD) reads a bit high at 17.3K, but it's a trembucker.
