the only full sized humbucker ive heard of that is made to sound like a single coil would be a dimarzio "humbucker from hell". and when you say hot do you mean hot as in "good" or hot as in high output? a telecaster isnt exactly what id describe as a hot sound, dont get me wrong though because i love the sound of a telecaster.

go to the dimarzio website. that is the only full size humbucking pickup i know that is designed to sound like a single coil. the clip on the website is a distorted clip of this pickup. but ive never tried or heard this pickup other than that clip so im afraid i cant help you any further. i dont know about your guitar but if it has a scratchplate then getting a scratchplate suited for a single coil S/S/S configeration would be the best option because then you would have a much wider choice of pickups.

if you dont have that option of the S/S/S scratchplate then as artie too sais you could get a decent humbucker and have it coil tapped which would give you a humbucker and a single coil in one pickup. (i dont know how this didnt cross my mind when its exactly what i did to the full shred on my strat lol)

Havent tried those but being they are hotrodded paf's i wouldnt imagine them sounding very tele like. Have you looked into the Rio Grande Tall Boy humbucker? It is actually two single coils hooked together.

I'm using a Humbucker From Hell right now (check my sig).
True it sounds more like a single coil then a humbucker but Man... what a crappy sounding pup it is. If it really is supposed to sound like a single coil it sounds like a lifeless unusable one and this is the second guitar i've had it in and it sounded bad in both.
But at the same time its always been in the neck maybe it needs to go in the bridge to get its true tone.
