Switiching pickups HSH to (active)H s (active) H

My friends guitar a yamaha RG rgz 121 z has a Pickup selection HSH
and I was curious, since he wants my Seymour Duncan Live wire heavy metal pickups, what would i need to change to do this
Can i just install them with the same wriing and pots and imput jack, or do i need to switch them out,

Question 1 - Do you have to change the pots when going from Passive to active, when its HSH, keep in mind the single coil is not changing

Question 2- does anybody have a wireing diagram for a HSH 1 tone 1 volume guitar

Question 3- Will the wiring on the diagram be any differnt if it were passive or active, besides the batterys?

1. Yes, everything must be changed. I would also recommend changing the single if you will be going to actives.

2.A wiring diagram should be included with the new pickups.
