I have a chance to pick up a 1996 Tacoma DM-9 for $300 and was just thinking I should run this by you guys before I pull the trigger. I still have to inspect/play it in person, but from the pics there appears to be only a few cosmetic flaws.
My questions for you are:
-Does anyone have any experience with these guitars?
-What's the consensus on buying used acoustic guitars?
-(In relation to the previous question) Is there anything specific I should look for to make sure the guitar has been kept in good condition?
-Any specific acoustic models I should be looking out for in the <$350 used range?

P.S. For my last question, I'm looking for something for strumming and finger picking. My acoustic influences being Dispatch, Ben Harper, Jack Johnson, Keb Mo, and Taj Mahal.
