Talk Boxes!!!

I wanna be able to play around with one of these things. any advice on what to get? Price range is- cheap to moderately cheap.

Also, any advice on how to use it? How's the Danelectro Freespeech? Seems to be in my price range

I made mine...I can't make it work like Jeff Beck does...really it sucks when I try it, but I still try!!!

I've heard that the Dano is pretty good if you replace the included one with a Shure.

I don't know about prices at your place but in my country the best bang-for-the-buck for a talkbox is the Rocktron Banshee.

I must tell that I've never tried it and don't know about the difference BW this and a Dano or a Dunlop Heli and I really don't know about FX fidelity etc. but as far as I know Rocktron integrated the whole speaker-cable-mess-up into one compact box with built-in amp and speaker so for a talkbox FX you just plug it in like any ordinary guitar pedal in the signal chain, step on it and - go.
