Talk to me about MTD basses

Does anyone have an MTD? I'm thinking about a Kingston as the next object of my unrequited lust.

Except mine would be a four. Are you liking it?

Re: Talk to me about MTD basses

What's up folks? I'm new to this forum. Cut to the chase. I just bought a used MTD Heir 5 string bass for a slamming deal. Its identical to the Kingston with the addition of a J-Bass style pickup in the neck position. I'm loving the way it plays. But I'm not digging the sound the Music Man pickup in it. It's just too dark and foggy sounding, man. I don't want to have to put an e.q. in it either; for now I want it to stay passive. But I do want the M/M to speak with a little more focus and clarity. I think a ceramic M/M will fit the bill nicely. Only problem is I'm not sure if Duncan makes a direct replacement for for my bass guitar; I didn't see one at the Products listing. I don't wanna be cutting on this axe because I really like it just the way it is. Thoughts or suggestions before I just say screw it and go another route? No pun intended.
