is it better to run stompboxes trough the input or through the effects loop,i have a awsome marshall jcm 900 and don't want to get away from it's thunder by not having it sound like a line6 fake sound

Re: tame that marshall beast

It depends on the type of effect you are using. Boosts, overdrive, distortion and wah pedals should go into the front input of your amp. Delays, chours, phasers, etc should go into the loop.

Cheers,

Re: tame that marshall beast

using a bossmt2metalzone and a little bit of course how would i set that up to make a thick death metal kind of sound

Re: tame that marshall beast

Why not just try it both ways and see for yourself which way sounds better? It'll be obvious... :smack:

Put the MT-2 between your guitar and amp, and the chorus in the loop.

But, what Lew says is right, you'll never know what you like better unless you try it both ways yourself.

Re: tame that marshall beast

also the MT-2 is kinda "fake"sounding , but the keeley mods are supposed to be great for it..
