My buddy bought this axe http://www.harmony-central.com/Features/BobTaylor/514CE.jpg used for $1,750 Canadian and we're thinking about a trade (my Norman for his Taylor). The guitar would essentially cost me $1,400 (including my Norman as a trade) and the only problem is that it suffered a "dryness crack" which was repaired prior to my friend acquiring the guitar. I've had the guitar at home since last Friday and I've fallen in love with it - not to mention that they retail for $2,900 new in Canada ($2,500 US on Mus. Friend), with the only difference being the new Expression pup system. My friend has had the guitar looked at by a couple of knowledgeable people who say the crack was properly repaired and that the only thing it affected was resale value (i.e., the sound is still amazing). Any reactions or advice?
