Re: taylor is making an electric?!

oo, pretty

what kind of neck would it have? please say an electric type, thats what most players prefer hehe

Re: taylor is making an electric?!

SICK! That looks sweet :32:

From what I've gathered, the Taylor Expression system on their acoustics is absolutely amazing, I'd love to hear this new thinline design... I bet it's going to sound unbelievable.

Wow, I haven't gassed this bad in a LONG time :fing2:

Mike Keneally will be out on the East Coast doing Taylor Clinics with this guitar in March. Check out a clinic if you can. AMAZING talent!

Re: taylor is making an electric?!

Talent...he played with friggin' Frank Zappa:D
He is an institution all by himself.
He sometimes tours with Vai.
Keneally is a great great player.
Hmm dunno about Taylor though...never liked them much.
;)

Stay away from the light, stay away from the light... ZAP!

I hope the tone and/or feel are terrible, otherwise I'll be jonesing for one of those forever.

Re: taylor is making an electric?!

I heard it at NAMM, it sounded pretty good , especially the acoustic tones. They demoed it through a stereo rig that was had two Line 6's, two Mesa/Boogies, and a pair of prototype Taylor amps. Looks wise the body seemed a bit large. It reminded me of the Gibson Chet Atkins solid acoustic, but way more classy.

Re: taylor is making an electric?!

Yeah they had some amps at NAMM. I didn't get to check 'em out to closely. They were setting up the demo system, and they kept switching between the Boogies, Line 6's, and the little Taylors. I assume they will be optimized to work with the T5's pickup system, but I was unable to ask, as Bob Taylor was busy giving the scoop to some suits from Guitar Center or somewhere.

I would really like to know how the amp would handle doing both, electric and acoustic tones.
