TB-1 59' with alnico 8 ?

I play with a Demon with alnico 8 , but then I changed my amp with EL34 for an amp with KT-88 and now I would say that the Demon 8 sound too brutal ,too bold ( KT doesn't distord like EK34 , are more percussive , dynamic , then with the Demon 8 it is too percussive ).
In the neck I have a Jazz 8 with air gap , and it is still very good , especially on leads ; creamy , thick , but dynamic and precise .

So I was wondering , since there is no Jazz trembucker ,
if a TB-1 with alnico 8 would give me this vintage but powerfull tone
that I am after ?

Could someone compare the TB-1 and TB-12 ?

I Have a A8 59 in the Bridge sounds fantastic...

Big Mids... Tight bottem.. singing leads .... I use it for 80s style stuff, and it sounds like Van Halen 1 to me.

Yes it sounds good !
Are the high strings big and round with bass content ?
Could you compare the TB-1 with other Duncans you have tried ?

Treble: now sounds nice and buttery like a A2, but has a nice attack and definition, its also been tamed somewhat as it used to be a bit harsh at times.

Mids: well the 59 originally lacked this and sounded real thin in my guitar, now the Mids are dominent and I get a real nice 80s metal crunch sound.

Bass: the bass has been tamed and is more balanced out now, it has also become really tight, also has a real nice attack on it which makes pedal tones nice and crisp.

Overal: harmonics really fly out at you and are really complex, all the strings are now very clear and crisp.


59 vs Screamin Demon - the 59 Mids sound a bit more fuller like the Screamin Demon , but sounds a little wetter like the 59... Demon sounds real dry to me. 59 has a nice definition similar to the Demon.. but not as clear as it.. has a bit of the PAF warmth from the 59 character.

59 vs JB - 59 retains its vintage sound but is boosted and has a more even EQ. the Leads sound similar to a JB with a A2 magnet (maybe like a Custom Custom)... Bass retains tight..

Tomorow I will try different screxs on the Demon 8 to see if it helps .
If not it could be between the 59' or the Custom with al 8 , or full shred ?
