Re: TC Hall Of Fame Question........
I guess what I would do is connect it to the editor on my PC to see what it is doing 'live'. Maybe that way you can see what is shifting around and mapped unto the tone knob easier, and maybe tailor it to your own setup?
I did not utilize the editor, but I'm sure your's is an excellent suggestion. Here is the response from Thierry Cattiaux at

Thank you for your patience and thanks for using TC Electronic.
Yes, the TONE knob is active on the SimoVerb. However, it does not work as usually. This TonePrint is a dynamic room reverb that gets out of the way when you want to via the built-in compressor, which you can control via the TONE knob. So if you just hint of reverb when you play softly, but want it out of the way once you kick in the gain then this TonePrint is your solution.
Also, the reverb sounds thinner with the TONE control all the way down and it will go thicker as you will increase the TONE control up to its maximum.
As every effect based on delay and modulation as for instance:
- Chorus
- Flanger
- Delay
- Reverb...
It's better to connect these kind of effects in the FX loop. The reason is a better signal-to-noise ratio. Also the effects are more efficient as they stand after the preamp and before the amp section.
Looks like the parameters are already thought out and designed into the Simoverb toneprint. I'm wondering why I have difficulty hearing the changes in the reverb amounts when I sweep the tone pot on my HOF. The "compressor" might be subtle. Then again, I have a single-ended Orange Micro Dark and I may have to dial in the gain sufficiently enough to get a good amount of crunch and grind when guitar vol. is up, yet really get "cleaner" when rolling vol. back down. Then, I should find where on my volume control I need to be to get it all "touch-sensitive"
