In the last 3-4 years I have only gone through 2-3 guitars besides my number one.(Those that havent been around very long- I used to have quite the rep for flipping guitars. 2-3 guitars in 3-4 years is a big deal compared to the way I used to be.) I had an SG Junior that was completely rad, but thanks to Butch here on Duncan, I was inspired to get back a little closer to my roots with my number two guitar.

My roots are Ash, Maple, 25.5" scale and a whole lotta TWANG! I put the SG Junior up for trade on TGP and a custom builder reached out to me and we worked out a deal.

The only thing else I will say is that this guitar meets the above requirements along with a blackguard, Mary Kaye and real, old-school Nitro; the kind with no plastics that will start checking naturally overtime. No fake relics for me y'all.

I have to admit, I scratched my head when you decided to sell the Crook tele you had years ago.

Nothing like putting one together to your specs. So awesome when it comes together.

That Crook Tele was cool, but I sound the same on a $300 tele. I just didnt like being $3k into a guitar after the fact.

Sand some of those rounded edges into points and throw some EMG's in it.

My builder sent me an update yesterday. He said he is in the buffing stage and "it won't be long now."

Oh no Erik....I could take a dump and strap a neck on the turd and THAT would look better than a guitar built by me. I have no wood working skillz at all. ;-)

Yessir....Sorry for the confusion. YOu can bet I will never build a guitar myself. :-)

I hate flame maple on bodies, but on necks it looks very cool.

This looks awesome.
