Tele '59 vs Hotrails : which is hotter?

You can't tell from the dc resistance, because it works differently for those rails. I need something to give me a similar level to a BKP in an Epi (17k), and a fat humbucking sound.

The hot rails is hotter but the little 59 can do more; the hot rails has a great edge when you want total push, but the little 59 can get pretty close to that, with the right amp. The little 59 cleans up a lot better too.
If you want total umph, then go for the hot rails. If you want some diversity, and more character, go for the little 59.
