I have a Squier Tele J5 want to swap the bridge for a Gotoh Humbucker
bridge for a black one,
It seems that the bridge PU in the J5 is a Trembucker.

Will the mounting holes of the Trembucker fit into the Gotoh Humbucker
bridge ?

Thanks, i am searching everywhere for the info.

I haven't used the Gotoh tele humbucker bridge before, but I think you should be fine using a trembucker in it. I've used a trembucker spaced Duncan in a regular pickup mounting ring before and it was fine.

You might want to check the Duncan site for the dimensions of the pickup, but I think it's just the bobbins, polepieces and baseplate that are wider spaced? I.e. the screw holes on the legs are the same distance from each other as on a regular humbucker.

Even if they aren't, the difference in the spacing shouldn't be enough to preclude using a trembucker on the Gotoh tele humbucker bridge.

let us know for sure when you get this figured out, as I'm curious to use one of these humbucker bridges myself.

good luck!

an uncovered trembucker will fit, a covered one will not. however, the gotoh mounting holes AND string through body holes are lined up differently (metric and imperial string spacing)
