Looking for a Tele bridge alnico 5 magnets wound with 42 awg wire (polynylon?) 7K range, is there a Duncan pickup that fits this description.

Re: Tele bridge pickup

The STL-1 and -1b are in the right ballpark.

If you are undecided about the output level that you might need, there is the Custom Shop '53 Tapped Tele.

Re: Tele bridge pickup

I had the Broadcaster but it had a reading 9.3K not in the 7K as described. I assumed that it was wound with 43 awg wire for that high DC. I had iti nstalled in my American special tele and replaced it with a Antiquity set, however when installed in my American standard i didn,t like it.

Re: Tele bridge pickup

I believe that you are describing the Fender-made pickup also used in the Hotrod '52 Tele. On that guitar, only the mini humbucker was by Duncan.

Are the STL-1 54 and STL-1B supposed to be 42 awg wire?
I had installed the Duncan Stl-1B Broacaster and STR-1 Vintage neck. The neck dc was in the 7k range but the Broadcaster was 9.3K. This was from a brand new Vintage Broadcaster set, so I assumed they were being wound with 43awg wire since the output was still in the Vintage range.
