Tele bridge pup

I have an 80's (I think) MIJ Tele with a fat maple neck. Some years back I installed the SD Broadcasters (STL-1b and STR-1). I've been playing it out a lot more lately and it's way too bright for my taste. I play Classic covers (Stones, Beatles, Tom Petty, Joe Walsh, CCR, etc.) and sometimes keep this Tele tuned to open G for slide and Stones tunes and am constantly adjusting my rig so I don't cut people in half when switched to the bridge pup, although when corrected, it has a great bite. I'm considering the Jerry Donahue or the Little 59 (STL-59b) and have read on different threads that the Donahue will really tame the highs on a bright Tele.....the Little 59 sounds very interesting too, though. Anyone out there that may have had a similar scenario and/or any suggestions short of buying both pups to try out? Thanks.

Personally, I'd go for the Jerry Donahue...especially for slide. Thick mids and smooth highs...perfect for slide. Unless you have to have a humbucker..then the Little 59 (or the Tele Hot Rails) might be the ticket. Lew
