Tele Deluxe pickguard.

thinking of changing the black on black style pickguard on my tele deluxe... any ideas? I was thinking tortoise shell but then in my head I think it would look weird...

What do you guys suggest ?

Lol do you guys think black on black looks best? I like the look now just figured maybe a white or aged pearloid might look better but I can't find any pics of one like that

I wouldn't change the pickguard, but I'd consider a Duncan Wide Range pickup or two.

IF you play like the guitar looks, stick with it. If you perform with flash and somewhere between Al McKay and the Jackson 5, then maybe go white pearl or even consider red or other real contrast. Looks like a real serious guitar - comes across like it delivers. I'd keep it just the way it is (but I don't play with flash so if you do, a flashy guitar style could work well).
Nice guitar! I have a David Gilmore strat.......and there's just something special about black on black!

you make valid points ! I'm not really a flashy player just thought I would change it up but I think I'll keep it black..

I'm happy to hear you're gonna stay with the black, there are other ways you can mod the guitar if you want to change it up a little bit.
