Tele: Hot Rails or GFS Lil Puncher

I currently have a GFS Lil Puncher in the bridge position in my Tele. Its currently wired to the stock 250K pots.

Under higher gain, it sounds a little muddy on the E, A, & D strings compared to my guitars with full sized HBs. I could put in 500K pots however some say they make this pickup sound overly bright.

Can anyone comment if the Hot Rails (Tele) sounds bassy/muddy under a lot of gain as well?

My ultimate goal is to find a single coil sized HB that sounds closest to a full sized HB.

I have the Hot Rails. It's thick and bassy, but I don't hear much muddiness. It has the full blown humbucker sound. I did use this with a 500k pot, but I don't know what it would sound like with a 250k.This reminds me of the Super Distortion, but warmer.

I would say give it a try with a 500K pot, that should help out with the mud. If you want to retain the 250K for the neck pickup you could do a couple things. A dual-concentric pot will give you individual volume controls for each pickup and then you would have a master tone. You could also use a stacked pot 250K/500K so that it will look stock and act liek your volume control does now (master volume), but each pickup will see a different resistance.
