Hi Fellows ,
I am new here and thought that you might help . I have a guitar that started out SS&H , that now has Fender Tele Fat 50s in neck and bridge . Any ideas for the middle pickup ?
Thanks

Lots of people seem to like the Fat 50's for strat from Fender. It might make a good match.

Re: Tele Middle Pickup ?

I use an SSL-1 RWRP with my pickups (see signature). I used to have an A2-Pro in there, but wanted a brighter 2 and 4 position. Both were great. Of these 2, I'd probably go for the A2Pro with your Fat 50's, as the A2's seem a bit stronger.

I'd probably go with another Fat 50...as Benjy suggested. Do you have humcancelling when your two existing pickups are combined? If you do then one is RW/RP relative to the other pickup. If that's the case, when you combine your new middle pickup with the neck or bridge pickup you can have humcancelling wih one but not with both. You're going to want to take your guitar with you when you buy your new pickup. If you want the middle pickup to be humcancelling when combined with the neck pickup you'll want to buy a Fat 50 that when you put it face to face with the neck pickup the polepieces are attracted together...not repeled.
