Tele Neck ops,,,, MINCER Help!!

Greetings Dave & all~ I just picked up a Duncan Custom Shop Broadcaster bridge pup, flat stagger, that runs a little hot, in the low 9k range, and I'm looking for a good mate to put in the neck...

FWIW, I'm MUCH more interested in that sweet middle position sound than I am in a fab stand-alone neck sound, but if it's got all the goods, win, win!!!! Don't forget, that B'caster's got some cajones

Well, if you go Custom Shop, there is the Joe B Broadcaster neck pickup. If you want a regular production one, check out the Lari Basilio, or the La Brea. Any of these would match with your bridge pickup and give you an nice middle position, as well.

9k is not too high, its wound with thinner 43awg wire! Its about the same as 6.9k with 42awg

Remember, the resistance of 9k you are seeing does not equal output. There are other factors to consider. Wire gauge and magnet types are big factors. I had a 7.8k Telecaster bridge pickup and a 10k Telecaster bridge pickup. The 7.8k pickup was louder.
