Here's the thing: a lot of serious Tele players favorite rhythm tone is the stock neck and bridge pickup combined. If you go with a stronger neck pickup so that the neck pickup by itself has a "better" tone you'll lose some of the jangle and classic tone of a stock Tele neck pickup and bridge pickup combined. That said, if you do want to beef up the tone of your neck pickup so that it sounds more like a nice Strat pickup, the two "best" Tele neck pickups that sound like a Strat pickup that I have tried are the Duncan Custom Shop "Tele ala Strat" and Fralin Blues Special.
