hello, i have some questions... sorry if my english not good, i'm from indonesia... i like to do some experimental with my tele... i like to change the neck pickup :

first, if i want to replaced the stock with seymour duncan vintage mini humb, what the exact bridge pickup (vintage 54 or broadcaster) that would be match and ballanced? should i change the pots to 500k from 250k to eliminate the darker from mini hum, or just keep the vol 250k n tone 500k, or stay with 250k?

2nd experiment, if i want to replaced the stock tele neck with seymour duncan vintage antiquity texas hot neck strat, what the exact bridge pickup (vintage 54 or broadcaster) that would be match and ballanced?

for your info, my style of music is blues, garage, jangle, surf rock, funk, noise, folk

thanks before, for helping :)

Based on my experience with the Fender Hot Rod '52 Telecaster model, the SM-1n small humbucker matches better with a hotter than average Telecaster single coil. The nearest equivalent from the SD range would be the Custom Shop '53 Tapped Tele Lead model in full output mode.

The same suggestion would probably match with the Ant 1 Stratocaster pickup.

For the best overall compromise, I suggest the STK-T1n.

In all instances, I would stick with audio taper 250k pots.

I have a SM-1n in the neck position of my Tele with a STK-T2b Hot Stack in the bridge and 500K pots. Style-wise I use that guitar for heavier classic rock; the Vintage Stack may work better if jangle and twang is important to you.
