Just picked up a set of Tele Quarter Pounds - love the neck but the bridge is a bit much re: the mids and bass. I think it needs more treble. I currently have 250k pots in there for both volume and tone.
I like the overdrive on these pickups but need a bit more brightness out of them, especially the bridge p/up. Would 500k pots make them significantly brighter than the 250k's? Would 1 meg pots then make them even brighter than the 500k's?
Anyone with experience please give mesome guidance.
