Telecaster build.

I've been pondering this for a while and think I'm gonna go ahead and try it. I want to build myself a telecaster using parts I can get from the forum, excluding the pickups unless I can find someone selling the ones I'm looking for. I figure it'll take a while, but I love the Duncan forum and think it would be a cool piece. So if you have any tele parts you are looking to sell or trash hit me up. I'll also accept donations, but don't think I'm looking for handouts. I'll update as I go along if anyone is interested.

Re: Telecaster build.

I guess I should add that I'll be buying the parts as money frees itself up. So please don't hold it against me if I can't buy something as soon as it comes up. Bear with me as I do have bills.

Re: Telecaster build.

Cool.

I might have some stuff you can use when the time comes. Are you gonna wait for parts that match predetermined specs, or are you just gonna grab parts as they come up, and see what it ends up looking like?

Re: Telecaster build.

What sort of body are you hoping for? What wood, what pickup routs, what color, etc? Would pine be something you'd be interested in, or a more standard wood (or does it not really matter, as long as it's cheap)?

Re: Telecaster build.

I'm wanting to do humbucker neck with a regular tele bridge pickup. As far as everything else, it'll be whatever pops up in the trading post. I'm sure someone will unload a body at some point. Color doesn't matter. As far as wood goes again I'm not really worried about it. I do know it'll be a maple neck and board. Other than that it'll just be a forum Frankenstein telecaster.

Re: Telecaster build.

I think I have a bridge for you...

And some Road Worn Tele pups if you want them.
