Telecaster Pickup Combination

So,

I'm building a telecaster.

I am using 250k pots and a .47 "paper in oil" cap

I'm thinking of using a Jerry Donahue bridge pickup and a STR-2 neck pickup.

Comments? Suggestions?

Well, what kind of tone are you looking for?

Re: Telecaster Pickup Combination

I'm using the Nocaster set and it is sweet. It the Goldilocks Tele pup set as far as I'm concerned.

I had a Broadcaster in the same guitar and it was more aggressive than the Nocaster bridge. Great for Rock and Blues.

But I've only heard good things about the JD.

Agreed on both counts. I've got the CS Nocasters in one guitar and a Broadcaster/59n combo in another Tele. Best of both worlds!

And the Nocaster neck pup is the clearest sounding Tele neck pup I've tried. It's not like I've been through a hundred of them, but it's the best of the ones I've tried.
