Telecaster switch stuck

Hello all,

I have a really dumb question here but thought maybe someone could help. I'm putting some hot rails in my daughters telecaster and also a 4 way switch. I know the switch was moving to all 4 positions before I got started but after wiring everything up I cannot move the switch to position 1 or 4 (positions on the end) I was pretty careful wiring everything and wasn't careless. In fact, I had the control plate mounted to some wood to get everything but the pups wired. Has anybody encountered this? Is it something that can be fixed or should I just get a new switch and start over?

Any help is appreciated.

The switch moving is a physical, not electrical issue. I'm guessing you've got something (? some wire) stuck in the mechanism as you've worked. Look at the bottom part of the switch (part which has soldered connections) to see if there's anything impeding movement.
