...and how compared to Charvel $1K-range guitars?

I'm looking at the '87 Series lineup. There's an M-1 in Candy Apple Red and chrome that's right up my alley (cuz it's the 80's most of the time for me).

Mind you, the lefty one.

I have a M-400 and a MH-1000, both good guitars, but Ill say the 1000 is a much better guitar. Finish, feel, appointments are better on the 1000 vs the 400.

400 did come with a Custom/Jazz, but also has a FR Special. Had a few minor issues with the 400, jack nut loosens, trem arm screw also loosens up for no reason, easy fix with a bit of teflon plumbers tape.

The necks are supposed to be the same, but feel the 1000's neck is just a bit wider. The 1000 also came stock w a JB/59 set, much preferred over the Custom/Jazz set.
