what i would suggest is start by wrapping more of the string around the post to get the string angle over the nut a little sharper. then id put the stop tail piece all the way down on the body, itll put a little stiffer feel to the strings but youll get better sustain. the steeper angle over the nut and bridge saddle the more sustain youll get.
lowering the pups a touch will help reduce the magnetic pull, the magnet on the 59n is stronger than that of the cc.
higher action (to a point, dont have to go crazy) tends to have better sustain
