Tell me about the DD Neck

I'm looking to switch my LTD over from EMGs to passives. I'm pretty much looking to only play metal with it, so I'm looking for a neck pickup that's slightly hotter. I won't be wiring a tone pot, so I'm not sure how the DD Neck model will compare with the bridge model, does it have a similar amount of treble or is it darkened a bit?

Also if I buy the Mayhem set is the bridge DD a trembucker?

FYI the guitar has a Mahogany body with a Flamed maple top, maple fingerboard, and a rosewood fingerboard.

The DDn is my favourite neck humbucker I've used so far. It has a slightly dark high end, with alot of lower mids. It is amazing for single note stuff, and the harmonics are crazy!! I've always had trouble getting harmonics out of neck humbuckers, but this pickup just screams! It is the best match for the DD bridge (output wise.) If you're looking for something abit creamier and smoother try the jazz neck.
