Tell me about the Dimarzio Satur8

I'm struggling with the tonal balance in my Carvin ST 300 between the PAF Joe in the neck and the Gravity Storm in the bridge. I Really like some things about the Gravity Storm but it just doesn't seem to be a fit in this guitar.
The guitar is really fat naturally sounds much like a really good Les Paul rather than a super strat. Has a thicker neck profile sustains like crazy and just has a different vibe than the rest of my Carvin Kiesels do. The Gravity Storm is really thick sounding in this particular guitar and it needs a more balanced bridge pickup with a lot of articulation and some extra cut. I'm liking the clips with the Satur8 I am hearing on line and it appears to be a good tonal match for that PAF joe in the neck but wanted a little more info if I can get it.
I'm a big fan of the Alt 8 but want some thing a little lower in output and more open. Have a Alt 8 and Sentient combo already in my KOA 93 DC 127 so want something different tonally with this one.

I have one in an 85 MIJ strat, it is very punchy, articulate not really compressed, harmonics just jump out with ease really open sounding and musical, lead tones are singing. I really like it a lot.

Pretty much what I hear with the clips on line.
Here is a solo clip of the ST 300 with the Gravity Storm through my PRS MT 15. Very smooth singing tone but over all lacks cut and presence in a full band mix in this particular guitar.

This pickup however would be pure magic in a brighter guitar so it will not leave but will go to a new home.

mahogany body? The satur8 may work well, if your sticking with DM pickups may want to try a 36th paf although it may not match with the Joe as well, one pickup that is overlooked a lot which all of a sudden I have become fond of is the Gibby 498t especially in mahogany (but sounds great in alder, basswood as well) they really cut thru the mix also I think someone on here has a dimarzio virtual paf for sale that would work well with the paf Joe.

Don't know what the body and neck woods are as bought this one used. Sounds like it is all Mahogany though as have owned a bunch of these guitars. Neck through guitar with a Floyd. Gravity Storm has a ton of bottom and low mids just to thick for this particular guitar.
