A well cut nut and a proper setr up (with the possibility of some fret work) will do wonders for the way your guitar feels.

You could try an Earvana nut?, I'm gonna soon.

how much would that cost?

Re: tell me, which will make the most dramatic influence in intonation?

Over here you can get for about £20, not sure about anywhere else though, it is a little steep, apparently it's worth it though..

Re: tell me, which will make the most dramatic influence in intonation?

GraphTech saddles do wonders for tone and guitars that have tendencies to eat strings. A new bone nut really only affects open strings. But I'm curious: What's not sounding right to you about yours guitar? You mentioned that you "perfectly intonated" your guitar.

Re: tell me, which will make the most dramatic influence in intonation?

unless your nut/bridge has worn out sloppy string slots .. I doubt just swapping either out will change your intonation problems

more details please ... do all the strings have problems .. or just a couple ???

does it go sharp or flat?

if the open string .. the fretted 12th and harm @ 12 are all money and string slots are in good shape.... I would guess that your frets are to blame

The Earvana nut is the only way to go. They cost about $25 here in the U.S., and they really do improve the intonation over the entire neck. Unless there is something really wrong with your current saddles and nut, you won't notice much difference in switching to a new one.

You have to temper your tunings a bit even if the guitar is intonated correctly. If you have a problem doing that by ear a Peterson would be a good investment. Best of luck too you.

Re: tell me, which will make the most dramatic influence in intonation?

All you need to do is take your guitar to a local tech and tell him you want it intonated, the nut slots cut so it plays like butter, and the neck nice and straight.
Don't worry about spending on extra parts, just have a good, thorough setup.
Most guitars are setup OK at the factory, then get worse after a few years. Every new guitar should have a pro setup.
