Testing out EZ Drummer (riffs aplenty)

heyo. Recently got EZ Drummer and started messing around with it in Reaper. It looks like if you want to go deeper than the included grooves you'd need a MIDI controller of sorts. Hopefully i'm wrong and someone more experienced will slap me upside the head.

Anyway, here's just some riffage I slapped down to test out the software

yeah, i hope its more flexible than using the same beats everyone else has. Then again its just for when i'm not jamming with a live drummer which is rare

I bought EZDrummer a few months ago, when GC had that weekend sale where it was $30. It's not bad, but I gotta say that I'm way MORE impressed with Addictive Drums.

Sounds good. Drums could use a little more oomph though. There are some tricks to do this, try to look up 'parallel compression'.

In order to make your own beats, you'll need a MIDI controller. I recommend the Korg nanopad. It's cheap and easy to use. I assume that Reaper has a quantize function?

awesome! dig the fast ending a lot!! only problem with ezd is most of us that us it now all have the same sounding drums, lolerz. guess that's to be expected.
