here is the part that is just plain WRONG!
"The EVH 78 is faithfully authentic down to the dual black bobbins, non-potted coils, and single conductor lead."


NON POTTED COILS?
EVH was the first guy i remember ever saying anything about wax potting his pups!:why:

as a matter of fact he revolutionized it!

BTW,anyone know what is going on with this sudden sale of the custom shop duncan that has been avaibale for several years now?
i seen other internet links to it as well and they all say "only 100 made" ?

A Distributor ordered 100 CS pickups with an unstamped baseplate, so "True to original specs", and made them available to a few retailers. So it´s a semi-truth, something tells me the situation was likely "set up" this way intentionally to create a "closing gate" panic and thereby sell a few more at the inflated price of 200$, without having the statements result in legal action by SD
