I tried to find the DTAR forum, but could not, so I hope I can get some help here. I have a 1984 d28 with a Dtar Wavelength pickup in it. This is a very hot pickup and I have been advised to use a di box. Is the use of a di necessary? I use 15 foot guitar cable directly into my powered mixer, so there is not a lot of distance. Do I still need the di for impedance matching. I already picked up a relatively inexpensive active Behringer di, but have not yet tried it and I can easily return it. Should I have gone with a passive di in conjunction with my active wavelength? Thanks for any advice you can offer. David
