The best humbucker for me?

i have a Yamaha Pacifica 312II - HSS Strat Style Guitar
i am using an old Crate GFX 65 SS AMP

looking for a humbucker that can do:

EVH
AC/DC
ZZ Top

hmm, out of the choices, I'd say JB. But you might want to check out a '59 or possibly a brobucker (custom shop). the PG would give you ZZ Top though.

Yeah, for ZZ Top the PG is the way to go. The '59 is pretty damn good for AC/DC.

I have to decide now between the JB, 59, & PG.
do all of these sound good on clean?

Yeah ,but the PG will be the best choice i think!Or a PATB-3 Blues Sarasceno!It's more expensive ,but a great design and soul!Different dynamics and harmonics!

in the sound clips the PG sounds more distorted compaired to the ’59
and the PG uses a different magnet then the one in the humbuckers angus young used.

"Young's legendary 1968 SG has T Top pickups. Another 1964 SG that he used on the recording of Ballbreaker, has patent # pickups. All of these are low to medium output Alnico 5 pickups with matched coils"

found this on wikipedia, so i think the '59 would be the best choice,
hell even the tone wizard suggests it when i plug in all my info and select classic rock.

If you want a good all around A5 humbucker, try a Custom 5. It's basically a 59 with a bit more punch and bigger low end.

My votes for that guitar would be Custom, Custom 5, or JB. At least when you install those, you can hear it sounding obviously ballsier than the stock pickup.

the pacifica 612/812 both come with a jb. you should give that a try.

gunna go with the SH-1 59 Model i guess
it should give a good vintage sound

Just take a crap shoot at any of them.

As many pickups as there are, trying to compare and decide is nearly impossible. Just try some stuff and see what works for you.
