The Carlsbro amp...

Re: The Carlsbro amp...

Beautiful Voxy(Vox-esque?) clean tones at the start, and I liked the crisp bridge sound at about 2;50. Also nice echotones. I am wondering which Carlsbro you have ? Sounds a lot like my "Fatboy" :27: .(Terrible amps everyone, just in case your looking.".....:27: :13: )

Re: The Carlsbro amp...

Well, if it aint" Vox" (and I dont know that it is, because its been 30 years since I have heard a Vox), and If it aint "Marshall" ( and it aint, because I DO have a Marshall stack) , then what "British" is it?. You wouldnt wanna divulge what model Carlsbro yer using wouldja?

A busted frontplate, and not quite up and running, but it works, the mids have a sweepable frequency, so it can go from round and soft to open and Marshally.

Hey Rid,

I dig the clip, but was wondering if there is any way you could run that amp wide open, minus the pedals. The mid purr of my Cbro is unlike any amp I have ever heard. It is a creamy element that no Marshall posseses, which is why I love the amp so much. If I get some time over the next few days, I will get a clip of the Cbro, then we can compare notes...

Great playing BTW...

On the Peavey VTM front, last night I changed the 470k ( and also removed the 470pF cap connected to it)input resistor to a 66k. The difference is dramatic, a fatter, much more open grind. I swapped the Presence cap back to a .1 and the amp is very close to non master grind. Better than my Laney was, by a good margin.
