The difference between SD P90s

What are the differences in construction between the vintage soapbar, hot soapbar and custom soapbar? Are they the same winding with different magnets, or are they actually wound differently?

A Lil' of both . The SP-90-3 use's ceramic mags and is wound hot. The vintage use's Alnico mags. If you check the tone chart on the main site. they break it down pretty good.:)

I stuffed some alnico mags in a P90 Hot (SP2?) that I inherited and they sounded pretty dark...OK for a very bright guitar, otherwise pretty sludgy. They are now residing in a box somewhere...
