The Divebomb, Inc. Operation Military Embrace Guitar

I was contacted 2 months ago and asked if I would consider donating a guitar to Operation Military Embrace (www.OperationMilitaryEmbrace.com) to be auctioned off to raise money for wounded Veterans. As a Veteran of Iraq myself I took on the project and it was very important to me.
The guitar is my Veena design which is a blend of elements from other guitars that I admire, EBMM, Peavey Wolfgang, and a little hint of old Kramer.
I finished the front of the body with the back of one of the uniform tops I wore in Iraq in '05. Cleared and wetsanded until it was smooth... took 2 weeks. The neck is Birdseye Maple with a Walnut inlay on the headstock.
A very special thanks goes out to Paul Martinez at JMS Marketing and Seymour Duncan for donating the pickups.

Oh wow. That is cool.
I don't always agree with he reasons we initially deploy our soldiers (iraq), but anyone who's gonna put themselves in danger because their country tells them to should be taken care of.

Hahaha! My first thought was "not very realistic-looking camo", and then I read the description. What a doofus I am.

Actually, that is a very cool-looking guitar. I'm by no means a shredder, but I like it. From the pics, it looks well-built; like everything fits really well. Nice axe, good cause.

Thanks for your service, too.

I think it looks fantastic. Someone's going to get a great guitar, and a deserving person is going to get a financial benefit. It's a double-whammy of good karma :)

Re: The Divebomb, Inc. Operation Military Embrace Guitar

Thank you all!
I'm going to start selling these and donating a portion of the sale to Operation Military Embrace.

That's a great looking guitar for a great cause.

Re: The Divebomb, Inc. Operation Military Embrace Guitar

Not only is that a really cool guitar, but it's for a great cause. The fact that it has your uniform on it is the icing on the cake! AWESOME

Re: The Divebomb, Inc. Operation Military Embrace Guitar

hmmm....
I saw dive bomb and assumed floyd rose, I'm here because I thought there was some super military concept type guitar built. lol

Re: The Divebomb, Inc. Operation Military Embrace Guitar

Divebomb, Inc. is my company.
It might not be "super" military, but it's certainly "supportive" of our Military Vet's.

Re: The Divebomb, Inc. Operation Military Embrace Guitar

With a name like Divebomb, you'd think every guitar made would have a tremolo. :usa1:

Re: The Divebomb, Inc. Operation Military Embrace Guitar

Most of my guitars do, but in this case I opted for no trem.
I'm doing a Vietnam Era Tiger Striped on one now that will have a black Original Floyd.

I'll go with that.

And it's darn fine looking guitar to boot

Custom Custom at the bridge and a Jazz at the neck. I might have to track down the new owner and try to get some sound clips recorded.
