the first song i recorded

scottish

WeirdScienceologist
did this with my girlfriend a while back...a good while, lol. anyways, here it is, she wrote it for a school project. my 1st clip post here so dont be too hard on me, lol. she sings (obviously) and plays acoustic, the electric is me. this was recorded before i knew jack about recording so the electric sounds kind of muffled...its amazing what the correct mic placement can do, lol

:cool3: Thanks for sharing.

I like the groove, I like the concept behind it.

That's pretty cool, love the flow. Your girl's got an interesting voice. The lead work is very good. Good job!!:D:D:D:D

thanks guys, i got to dig out some more old stuff and post it. try and show a progression of playing style or something that might be vaguely interesting, lol

Wow.

Nice voice, catchy as hell song.

If that came out before "Hey There Delilah" she could be famous. Did you record it before that song came out? It sounds familiar in the verses, as I'm sure you know. But the chorus is different.

Good song though, very good.

crap, i forgot i put a second song in there, lol. the original one i was referring to was stage fright. i have no idea when hey there delilah came out. ive never heard of it. but lonely heart was recorded about 6 months ago and she wrote it a while before that if that makes any difference. its weird, the type of music i play with my girlfriend is nothing like i really want to play. but it is her style and i cant write my own stuff for peanuts. i have so much bouncing around in my head that without a bass player and drummer i find it very hard to start to get out whats in there.

im presuming hey there delilah is some famous pop song but im a pretty hard core phishhead/blues guy so i almost never listen to the radio. basically, she writes something and i try and come up with something to compliment it
