does anyone know what the pickups the master seymour used to make jeff beck's famous tele-gib are closest to in the brand 's line now? and while i'm at it i might as well say that since i first was turned on to him in 1972 that jeff beck has been consistently the baddest master around spanking the plank
the guy set the bar pretty high on'cause we've ended as lovers' then developing the ability to nail 8 notes right on the nut with the wang bar slur off of false harmonics on"where were you?"i got to see him do it live right after guitar shop was released with 2 cams on the jumbo screens close-up tight on both hands. i've never been in an audience before where you coulda heard a pin drop in anticipation of what was being played. the only other near equally amazing thing i've ever seen was chet atkins and les paul in a cuttin' match in the gibson room at a namm show. i'd seen pagey,e.c. and most of the greats of the classic rock era except jimi of course by then , but being present in that room was like something almost religious.
