The missing info to correct phasing problems between Duncan/DiMarzio Tele pickups

I'm posing this in case there are other mixed marriage pickup guitarists who are having problems.

I just want to give props to the thread (posted below) that helped my while I was pulling out my hair getting a Duncan Vintage '54 bridge pickup to play nicely with a DiMarzio Area T Neck. I searched everywhere and the only thing I saw was to reverse hot and ground on one of the pickups. This is also how it's written in the DiMarzio instructions.

This still results in out of phase UNLESS you also switch the additional ground wire DiMarzio includes for the neck cover. This is not mentioned in the DiMarzio instructions :censored:

THANK YOU, JEREMY, FOR THIS INFORMATION you gave in the Fralin/Duncan post :yourock:

I had switched hot and ground (but not the cover ground) and it sounded worse. I was rewiring this thing several times with bad and worse results until I found your info.
