The one that won't leave!

The 99 mex Strat I have sold twice but keeps coming back I finally reconciled that it's just supposed to be and is a keeper.
Had it sold to a friend but he never followed through. I sold and shipped it in November had the long fight over it and had it returned and refunded. Idiot said it was a POS!
Guess this one is just supposed to be mine so--. Upgraded the trem with a new Fender Big Block, added a new Fender F logo neck plate, fresh fret polish, full set up the Ghoto locking tuners and added a new Antiquities Texas Hot for the bridge to go with the Alnico II flats in the neck and middle.
This guitar is just a beast now sounds and plays a LOT better than it has any right to. Took her out for the first time after all the work last Sunday and just snapped a few quick photos.
Bought it as an absolute basket case with 2 strings on it at one of the Pawn Shops I worked for. Now she will give a full on USA Fender Custom Shop all it can handle! It has been many years since I have owned a really good Strat but definitely have one now!!

Really good Strats are tough to beat. I've wanted a PRS CE for over 20 years, had a line on what looked like a great one. I was gonna trade my '87 USA Standard and a few bucks for it. Ultimately, I couldn't do it. The Fender is too bad of a mofo to let go of.

Nice, enjoy it’s homecoming.

I swapped the pickguard for black on my 99 Jazz V in Midnight Wine. It looks great.
